Can't Update Weekly 6.11.10 ==> 6.12.8 Via Twrp

Hi folks,

my 5s is running with xiaomi.eu global 6.11.10. I don't know why, I am not able to update to xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_6.12.8_v8-6.0 via twrp (the updater app does not work either)


Error code in TWRP is:

Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
Verifying zip signature...
Zip signature verification failed
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/DCIM/xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_6.12.8_v8-6.0.zip'
Updating partition details...
...done

Tried with and w/o wipe in advance - no difference. The zip was downloaded several times - no difference.

Any ideas, what to do?

Can you check the md5sum for the downloaded file?
According to the download page it shoud be 26d30844336a3983eb47eaaf8914f211.

I think that on windows you can try with:
CertUtil -hashfile full_path_to_xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_6.12.8_v8-6.0.zip MD5
On Google Play Store you should find utility to compute md5 hash, just search for "MD5", I don't know which one to suggest.

EDIT:
Sorry for asking, but...are you sure you are on a xiaomi.eu ROM, that you are try to install another xiaomi.eu ROM and that your recovery is TWRP?

Recovery is TWRP 3.0.2.0 is downloaded from official miui site and should be okay

Just asking, did you already update before? Is your device unlocked?

... Just downloaded the File once again directly on the Phone, md5 Check Okay and.....Update worked. Never had Problems with corrupt Files before, Kind of strange...

But anyway, mi5s now running on latest ROM.

Well, what is really important is that you managed to flash the rom.
However it is strange because the previous file MD5 checksum was fine.
