Can the notch be removed for specific apps?

Running a game on a Poco F3 is awkward: it has a minimal teardrop camera but all apps draw an ugly black bar to hide it. Is there any OS option or maybe special tweak that can force specific apps to ignore the notch and draw full screen?

Settings -> Notifications & Control Center -> Status Bar -> Notch in individual apps.

Or just search for Notch in the Settings menu...

Wow, that actually works! You see, the problem is that in my spanish translation of the OS it says:

* Automatic
* Show notch always

So I believed the "Show notch always" was to show always the black bar. But it's actually reversed and I can see now the game full screen. Thanks!

The translation is correct, but you misunderstood it.
Notch = camera.
Hide the notch means - hide the camera / camera will not be in the displayed part of the display.
