Hi all,
I did a factory reset and now have the message, the device is locked. Please activate. If set the WiFi up and put in my account password but it just says "couldn't verify account, can't connect to network" although the WiFi is connected it doesn't show at the top bar. I can only get into 2 pages. Connect to WiFi and verify account. I have now deleted the device from my account online but this hasn't helped.
 
Often the case at the first start, reboot and the data should activate.
If you delete the device from the account, a data wipe with recovery is necessary afterwards.
