Hi everyone, I’m using a translator to write this, so I apologize in advance for any mistakes or weird phrasing.
I live in Brazil and I have a Xiaomi 13 Ultra (ishtar), which came with the bootloader already unlocked and running MIUI with the Xiaomi.EU ROM.
Recently, I had to format the device and reinstall my apps. After that, WhatsApp stopped working, showing a message saying I needed to install the official version — even though I was already using it.
After some research, I found out the issue might be caused by the unlocked bootloader and the custom ROM I was using.
So, I followed a tutorial from a YouTube channel, downloaded the China ROM (CN) from the suggested website (I thought it would support the Portuguese language), and flashed it with the option to lock the bootloader, hoping to fix the WhatsApp problem.
Since then, my phone has been a total mess.
I managed to switch the system language to English (which I don't speak well), but many apps don't work properly and most warning messages are still in Chinese.
Now, I can’t unlock the bootloader again, no matter what I try, so I can’t reinstall the Global or Xiaomi.EU ROM.
Can someone please help me out with this?
