gps optimization asia question

Hello, I have the Redmi Note 4X (Snapdragon) and I live in Asia. And I considered installing EU Rom. Loving it so far. I'm a fan now. According to the thread "Xiaomi.eu Vs Global Rom Differences" the GPS is optimized for Europe. What does that mean and does it mean the performance of my device...
