I got the same. After miui recovery 5. Press lower and power to go in fastboot menu again. After that flash the new twrp again and it works fine for me

Same Error to me. At first i downloaded the new twrp-3.6.2_12-v5.1_A12-star-skkk.img TWRP. Then the error messange and now it is running. but when i did reboot to recovery it brings me to MIUI Recovery 5.0. i needed to hold lower and power again.

Okay thats weird. I read that EU should pass safetynet. I installed it clear. Twrp data wiped and then install the stable 13.0.7 EU. It is german but i think you can read it. How can i lock it ? Developer Options are on. Disable them does nothing. Still safetynet failed or wipe the 3 google apps...
