Well, I guess that Xiaomi can bring back the feature, but I don't think that they'd do that. However, I was thinking that Xiaomi.eu team could restore it ? x)

I bought this device knowing that I could hide the notch :D And I hate the notch, but except the LG V30 which has a very bad screen problem, the Mi 8 was the only smartphone that meets all my requirements at an affordable price.

That's it ? There's no way to restore that feature ?
