Apparently this will only be possible when the global ROM is out. Right now there is no compatible voice driver with Google.

Apparently "OK GOOGLE" was supposed to be working in the next release, but it works now on Mi8 with .29. Just to report this. Thanks

Yeah those options are ghosted on my Mi8. I selected English UK, US, reset settings, installed Google app betas, tried just about everything. I can sometimes train my voice, but once i go into the settings screen it will ghost itself out again and it never responds to my voice.

It doesn't work @ingbrzy. You can try anything it just won't work at all. It's probably something related with the ROM you base your modifications on, it's up to Xiaomi to solve this i guess. There's tons of issues opened at Google and they don't seem to act upon it, all sources therefore point...

That seems to be an issue with Google. I've seen reports all over the web affecting Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, etc. Google acknowledged issues with the app but that's from Aug, 8th. They're probably still resolving them.

It doesn't seem to be possible to install new lockscreen wallpapers in Mi8 with 8.8.16 by means of Google Photos. Default set wallpaper function of NOVA LAUNCHER also doesn't work . Since 8.8.23 is still not available for Mi8, i couldn't test it there. Using Xiaomi file explorer for example...
