This morning bluetooth was still ok after being in airplane mode overnight.

Probably just some hickup then. Make a backup and try 8.8.23 again. :)

This issue is weird and random. I tested yesterday after flashing to turn airplane on/off = bluetooth not working, had to reboot. Airplane overnight, turned airplane off = bluetooth ok all day. Tested now (same as yesterday) to turn airplane on/off = bluetooth ok.

Clean flash.

No difference here, quick as ever. Does the IR work? Check in a dark room.

Still have the bluetooth-issue apparently, randomly it doesn't work after switching to/from airplane mode and needs a reboot when not turning on after coming from airplane mode. It's an irritating issue.

All is running fine so far on Mi8.

What rom are you on?

Format (where you need to type yes to confirm) device before flash.

The file was missing on my phone.. Can't compare with nothing.

It's the same update. Choose what you want, as yours say up-to-date, do it via TWRP. Just don't relock the bootloader and you should be fine. Check your Mi-account in settings so it's yours.

I didn't have gps.conf after flash of 8.8.16 so put it there myself. Only bluetooth issue is that it doesn't come on again after airplane mode. Don't know if you will get the same issue, but GPS is easy fix as per my previous post. It probably is different from model to model.

Copy gps.conf to anywhere. Boot to TWRP, copy gps.conf to /etc, done. No root needed. :) If you have root you don't need to go via TWRP of course.

The issue with bluetooth not working after airplane mode is not such a big deal for me, but nice when it's fixed. Got no issues with sensors. More irritating is that gps.conf is missing so I have to put it there myself. Can't believe that persist includes gps.conf or does it?

Mi 8 flashed. Reboot now works. Device certified in Play Store. Bluetooth still broken (doesn't work after airplane mode). GPS broken, gps.conf missing in /etc. Works when added.
