I would like this too for Dutch and English, so I looked into it. As far as I could find out, this is unfortunately not possible. Google standard uses the system language for the assistant.

You can also try to set the GPS accuracy settings to high, in the phones settings menu.

With me on my mi6 it also is not working! Default lockscreen works fine, but as soon as I put on a lockscreen theme, no notifications on my lockscreen!

Might be that you have your GPS on high accuracy! Try change this in the GPS settings, in the phones settings.

I had this too on the old version, did not try it on the latest update, but I will try soon!

I also notice ghost notifications: my phone vibrates, but no new notifications visable. Might this be already existing notifications that get vibrations again? Once there were no notifications but the notification light went on and besides that nothing. Is this part from the know bug?

I had something similar once, you could try a flashing tool called xiaomi tool, this worked for me back then!

The rom works good and smooth, but notifications still don't work: no notifications on lockscreen and with half of them no vibrations. Also the floating notifications are very far from the top of the screen (mi6). Besides that, good rom, keep up the good work! (:
