Try twrp 3.1 by andropax. Google it. You seem to have the proper setup but for some reason it does not work. As last resort you can do a downgrade to 6.1.7 (there is a guide on xda) and then retake all the steps using miui.eu roms this time,just to be sure your problem is not rom related...

How EXACTLY did out flashed twrp? Where did you took the recoveries from? If you have nougat and you have unlocked BT its highly probable the the old twrp was wiped and what yo have now is a twrp version installed by you. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I know that this ROMs are dependent on their chinese conterparts but I think in stead of 4 weakly roms that have a lot of problems , a monthly rom that fixes more of the problems (the core problems related to cores not working, overheating,etc at least) would be better. MIUI its at a point...
