You have to reinstall TWRP permanently with your pc, or go temporarly in TWRP and then flash your TWRP.

After full wipe... just connect your phone to your pc IN TWRP and drag the rom on internal storage and then flash it.

What error 7? Did you wipe all data in twrp and now trying to install rom? If so, do a reboot of your phone and go back to twrp and then it will ask to allow modifications. After that retry to install.

Yes, everything, all data. You can try upgrade to MIUI 8 without wiping. If you upgrade to MIUI 8 without wiping, make a backup in twrp before upgrading in case of issues!!!

Just to say: Mi Max has Snapdragon 650/652* :) For TWRP you must wait I think. You can try install hydrogen version, I don't think will be a big difference or wait.
