What would the advantages of going to 4.04 be? Also, the leak isn't official (is any leak official?). When it's actually official (i.e. Samsung starts releasing it to devices themselves) then I guess Miui should start to think about integrating it.

When you set this to Google and then type something into the address bar (which is also the search bar), then the word that you typed in is ignored and it just loads the default google page (with nothing in the google search text box). If you set your search engine to Yahoo, it works properly...

+1. This is the only slight annoyance left for me with MIUI. It's a rather small complaint considering how awesome MIUI is, but still.

To be honest, i'd prefer them to stick with this one. It has the TV-out feature that the AOSP build doesn't have. I use this all the time to watch stuff on my tv. What would be the advantage of them changing base (i'm not trolling, I'm genuinely interested to know if there are any good...

Did you flash ONLY the MIUI zip. i.e. you didn't try to flash any kernel or anything at the same time, did you?

What trembling do you mean? I have a i9100, and while the desktop isn't the smoothest (definitely not as smooth as GB MIUI on my old desire), I wouldn't say it's "trembling".

Are you able to open extweaks? And did you turn on the bln option? As I said in an earlier post you also need to disable "Turn on screen upon receiving message." It's a setting in the messaging application. To test bln, just send yourself a message. Make sure you turn the screen off...

Basically you just install miui like you usually would, then download the latest siyah kernel, then flash the kernel in clockwork recovery. Then download an app called extweaks from the market, launch the app and you will see the options for bln. Yes, I'm using SGS2.

Finally figured out the bln thing. Turns out you have to disable the option "Turn screen on when message is received". At last I've got back lights working!
