Why do you need Magisk?

Can I flash it if my bootlader is locked using the MiFlashPro tools? They say "Recovery mode flashing without unlocking the bootloader." but I don't if you can flash only the recovery or the full ROM.

The version for some devices (such as Mi8) is based on Android 8.1, the same than the Global beta is based on Android 8.1. When are we going to see anything based on 9.0? It's supposed to be the first version supporting dual GPS chips.

That's the question, I don't know it because I haven't bought the phone yet. And I don't want to buy it till I know if it works, otherwise I'll be wasting my money.

How good is the accuracy offered by the GPS using the Global beta Rom compared to the Xiaomi.eu, Global stable and Chinese ROMs. And, the Xiaomi Mi8 has a dual signal GPS able to use the L5 signal (apart from the L1), but it seems that the Global stable Rom isn't able to take profit of the L5...

The only thing that discourages me from prefering Xiaomitool is that it hasn't been updated for one year, unlike MiFlash.

How can we increase the /system partition size?

I'm looking for a mod or script to resize system, data, cache... partitions on the Xiaomi Mi8. The default system size is too small (2.9GB) and gets full easily, causing problems on Google services and other apps.

I just want to buy a Xiaomi Mi 8 and hesitating between getting the Chinese version cheaper or paying a little bit more for the International version.
