Well I've never regretted buying a Xiaomi device.
Most MIUI ports got a glitch somewhere.. having the real deal for once is nice.

I looked into it further and the stock browser is unaffected.

Ad blocking is nice and all but if it goes to the point of interfering with normal use then that might be too much.
You could always provide packages to disable it, 8mb text is a lot to parse for a arm processor.

Yeah it seems busybox is included in the latest one (a.k.a. pre-installed).
As for sound quality... viper is a must for Xiaomi MI2. It makes it so much better.

I used to be like you too before Xiaomi did their own smartphones.
Always searched for phones that supported miui.
However now that official miui phones are out why not stick to them if you like it so much?

Short but pretty much how I feel about my MI2 too (never bothered upgrading to MI2S).
It's perfect in pretty much every way other than the missing sd-card slot.
That's the only thing I truly miss on it.

Xiaomi does votes on their forums every once in a while where you can suggest phones to become officially supported.
The phones that are requested most often usually get official support a few months later.
