Well, the camera is continously improved and the weeklies are based on the corresponding CN-ROM betas, so all cameras improvements can first be found in those.... Having said that: those are betas, so you may as well find a bug ;)

I did achieve this by using Customiuizer, which is an Xposed-Module - so you need to root your phone with Magisk and then install EdXPosed oder LSExposed.... Not sure whether this counts as "easy" for you ;)

Its no mod :), with the 12.5.4 ROM Xiaomi introduced the Camera version that was used in the DXO-Mark test and that is said to be developed together with DXO-Mark... It is a significant improvement in Camera performance over the previous versions...
