Before thinking about how to root I'd recommend to think about why :) I have some very specific personal reasons for rooting and nowadays I more and more wonder whether it's really worth the hassle.... There are some tutorials here on the forum, I can check for a link later - the rooting...

on my rooted device everything works all right - Gpay, Banking apps, Insurance apps.......

I had my phone unrooted on Xiaomi.EU beta and Gpay worked just fine. Now I am rooted as this is the only really comfortable working way to get 3rd party launcher with gestures (and ad removal is better as well ;))... Gpay ist still working fine, but this is ofc the usual cat-and-mouse game...

@Emil77msk ah, ok, thanks for the info... Yeah, as written above I also had bad experiences with MIUI restore - working with Google restore (or, when rooted, Swift Backup) is quite reliable, though... I also think this is something within MIUI itself and as such out of scope for Xiaomi.EU team...

Same here, pretty happy with beta so far.... I got neither issues with mic nor with auto rotation - strange enough ;) Two rather minor things I noticed is that Android Auto connection is unstable and that apparently Google Dialer does not show an overlay over existing apps during call....

If you want to change the default browser can do so easily in "Settings->Apps->Manage Apps" and select "Standard-Apps" in the Three-dot-menu To change the swipe-up-search gesture you can do so in the Home screen settings, as described here

Maybe solved it myself, time will tell :) what I did: Instead of flashing all modules at once and rebooting I went for a step-by-step approach with a reboot in between. After setting up Magisk the order was 1. Shamiko 2. Systemless Hosts 3. LSPosed So far things are looking good :)

Hmm, strange... Just checked (on weekly here), microphone works just fine in calls and in recorder app... Something to monitor :)

Many thanks, basically the same as what I did - the only difference is that I had Google Play Store and Play Services on my Denylist... I think it's either one of my root apps (LSposed, Customiuizer, ****Miuigestures) or could be the Denylist.... You are also on Magisk 26.1 stable?

Hmm, and you are in fastboot mode? I went from EEA to EU today, no issues...

Thanks, I know :) I wanted root for other reasons, including have navigation gestures on 3rd party launcher and ad removal.... Just removed root and will try without :) PS now device is certified, so must have been something with the rooting environment or some root-apps.... Will go along...

Well, so far thing are looking pretty good here on beta - many thanks to devs for providing this! The only issue I have right now is that Google Play shows my device as "not certified" - rooted here with Magisk 26.1, Shamiko and Denylist on Google Play Store and Play Services... Any hints on...

When I tried restoring data backed up with MIUI-Backup on CN ROM to EEA ROM this also failed, most apps where not able to run and i had to reinstall the apps (clearing app data was not sufficient).... As I root my devices I am using Swift Backup, worked fine from CN to EEA... Can report more...

May I ask why? Just being curious here :)

Don't know, but my Xiaomi 13 Ultra on chinese 14.0.11.0 has Google Play Services and Google Service Framework installed in System - I had to manually install Play Store, though.... I'd also like to know wether its possible to trigger Google restore as this does not happen automatically when...

@poco c40 in order to be able to really delete system apps from the partition you need to mount the partition as r/w, normally its read only. But even deleting apps will only free some memory on the system partition, there will be no difference to the user-/internal-storage memory available as...

Sounds great, even if i know chances are slim to not-existing ;) : can you tell whether B20-support is available on EEA with CN-device ?
