So why did the Community App pretend to unlock it?

This is what I understood, actually.

I have just gotten the unlocking message via the Community app - the trick is to try immediately after 00:00 China time. But I still cannot "Add account and device" in Developer Options / Mi Unlock status - they tell me I should try via Community app, but the latter now says I have been granted...

Strange... I installed it problem-free two weeks ago.

You cannot lock back on Global. By why not install the Xiaomi.EU rom? Read stuff on this forum.

I've been having the same problem - yesterday and today (date switched from 02/02 to 02/03 in the meantime).

Read around this forum to understand the Xiaomi.EU rom better as well as the current limits on unlocking the BL. TLDR: unlocking is current either impossible or very costly; the .EU ROM is much better than global (has all the features and more, is more stable).
