It's not a bug, you don't need any fix. Xiaomi enabled MPdecision hotplug for battery saving. When 2 big cores are not needed they sleep. And you need the big cores active when you play, mostly.

No. Xiaomi.EU does not support OTA. You have to manually download ROM then with the updated app you choose the downloaded package.

Wiping System means look for troubles. In this case it has been mentioned many times that you need a dirty flash. Not clean install. (In fact I never spoke about wiping system...)

Since I've had same issues on Mi3 and Redmi Note 2 I actually believe that the phones that does not give issues are not many... At least for Xiaomi. Other brands does not have those issues. But other brands does not have MIUI.
