I have tried this one (Of 12.1) and another one (Of 11.1_2) that you can find here (see the first post). In my experience, the 12.1 version doesn't read the external memory, the second works very well, I could install the rom .zip and also Magisk 25.2...

I am in the same situation. I have to add that I have installed TPRW and I know that it's not compatible with A12. Have I to remove it (installing before the stock recovery) or I can directly install the last update 13.02, with the relative bat file, without data formating? The stable 12.5.9...

Yes. If you observe that you have problems (only in this case...) with recent applications install this apk. It's a miui apk, it will update the one of the rom: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/miui-launcher/miui-launcher-alpha-4-25-2-3646-10151537-release/

Thank you for the workaround. That works. I had the problem with the last stable update for Mi9 lite, the 12.5.5 and I was near to downgrade to previous version. I will keep the last one but hope that Xiaomi resolves definitely the problem.

Just updated my Mi9 lite. I dirty updated. Everything went without any problem. Security patch has been updated to the 1st of October. I don't notice other changes, perhaps because the phone worked already very well. Many thanks to the developers!
