Are you using the 5-bar indicator? If so, it is meaningless for comparison between different devices. Some devices include a partial assessment of quality (RxQual, Ec/n0 or RSRQ, technology dependent), also they are notoriously inaccurate. Also using that bar indicator for signal strength is...

Great to see a volunteer to assist. Whilst I am not involved in translations (my foreign language skills are woeful) I am really grateful for your offering to assist. The contacts for getting involved are listed in the first one or two posts.

Which phone model? - if it is an older Android version then it is no longer supported by xiaomi.eu, and also (most, if not all) Mediatek-based devices are no longer supported.

5GHz WiFi has been changed late last year due to new regulations from EU Regulatory organisations. Xiaomi did some changes on the functionality with 5GHz, but I do not remember the details. Do a search on the forum archives, there was a lot of discussion and trials as to what and how and if it...

I have not tested 1-3-7 CA, but from one other poster 12-15 months ago, they could not get it to work. CA is more related to hardware in the RF Chipset, some CA combinations/variants are a Qualcomm "option" which the phone maker has to pay extra - guess how Xiaomi and other "low-cost" makers...

They are exactly the same, 4G+ is the "marketing name", whereas LTE-A, LTE+ or LTE Advanced is the technology name which is used in the standardisation references and text books

Just because Safety net has passed, does not mean that Google pay will work - it is (most likely) only one of a myriad of security checks which Google requires to be complied with for their application to work.

If the phone is not released for Global/EU markets, then often the hardware does not support B20. This was the case in the Mi5, whilst the chips would support B20, however the PCB on which they were mounted did not have any connectivity, so B20 was not possible. The ROM's will support the band's...

You need to back up all your data off the phone, boot into TWRP, then go to wipes, and "FORMAT DATA", acknowledge acceptance by typing "yes" ( without quotation marks). This removed the encryption that will allow you to boot properly. Once you have done this, you must download the xiaomi.eu...

Do a search on 5GHz WiFi in the forum, plenty of discussions on this topic in the past 3-4 months. Xiaomi has made changes due to EU usage changes on 5GHz band.

If you read the first two posts in the thread, you would see it is EOL (End of Life). No further weekly ROM for it, there may or may not be a stable update at an unknown date.

You need to do "FORMAT" ( with an affirmative "yes") from TWRP to remove encryption. Otherwise you will have the android "three dots" screen forever.

Grow up and show respect for people who do this work for free. If Chinese ROM is delayed for whatever reason, then do is the xiaomi.eu Release.
