I don't think we can update Google's Map application :) We are targeting a fix in MIUI to resolve this.

There is no problem with Porters putting their ROMs in the "Unofficial forum / Porting" thread directly until they get a dedicated forum. I need to lock some old forums and clean some things up today.

We delete QQ and Sina from the ROM. Every week we tried to "hack" (smali) the buttons out, but then some weeks our code would break the entire Updater apk, and we would have to panic and push hotfixes. This way, the 10mb of bloat is gone, and there is only an FC if you click it. Blame Xiaomi...

Patchrom uses Apktool 1.4.3. 1.5.2 is out, 2.0.0 is in internal beta. Maybe try the newest stuff.

The logcat during this FC will have more information. We just know the error from the screenshot, not how it happened.

Okay, what two devices to you want to start with and test drive this out with?

The problem we have with adding dedicated forums for unofficial devices is that the "porter" makes a few releases and abandons the forum. Then after a few weeks once word has passed that their is miui for X phone, the forum is buzzing with popularity, but the dev is gone :(

We manage to do hangouts with our extreme timezones, usually its a couple guys at really late hours and a couple in mid day.

The crash is a /webkit bug. Why would MIUI update webkit. We will have to find away around this, either by an old /lib or something. http://logcat.scheffsblend.com/view?id=253001 EDIT: Its probably actually a aderno bug, will work on.

We OTA a bit after the release here. If we did both at same time, the server load would be huge :)

OTA = Over The Air Update, we are just pushing our updates directly to our device. Regular ole ROM being pushed via OTA.

Sorry, I only OTA-ed MI2 until I can confirm it works.

If anyone is still on 3.6.21. Try and open up Updater.apk, and let me know if you get the OTA :) (3.6.21 - English)
