When a Xiaomi phone comes from the dealer with the BL unlocked, you can be sure it's a crack-unlock. What you need to do is install a Chinese stock DEV ROM, then do the official BL unlock. After that you're free to install any Xiaomi.eu ROM you want.

ZCX 3.0.2.x TWRP works nicely on my Kenzo. Not with this ROM, but with a weekly that's a few weeks old. But I can't imagine that there might be a compatibility issue with respect to the ROM release you're running. There is certainly no issue with respect to the ROM you're trying to install...

Yes, on some Xiaomi phone models. On some other Xiaomi phones, it does not.

I don't think it is a bug. introducing a launcher settings section in the general settings menu was a bad idea. Why? A general launcher settings section should apply to all custom launchers, which is clearly not true in this case. A decent launcher should offer its own settings mechanism...

For me, the change from Android 5 to Android 6 did nothing. As far as I can tell. RN3P KENZO

The very first post of this thread contains a very comprehensive list of the features and improvements of Xiaomi.eu ROMs over the Chinese stock ROMs. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/6-12-15.36782/ There is nowhere a better source to answer your question.

What signature? I don't see anything like a signature, at least not on a mobile browser.

I don't agree. This is not a matter of what's mathematically right or wrong. Instead, it is merely a matter of convention. The way the Miui calculator does it, is just one possible, valid way of doing it. I suggest to those who don't like it, to install mobi calculator by ip. This one has...

The unlocking procedure only supports MIUI China developer version (6.1.12 or later version) currently. MIUI China stable version will get supported in future updates

Just to clarify this a bit better: the Xiaomi.eu team did not create any of the non-English language versions. All of them were made by teams of Xiaomi enthusiasts from various countries. The EU moniker has no significance with respect to languages. There are some Asian languages in these...

I want Pacman added to every ROM. I think it is a most essential app. And Tetris, too. :))

I have noticed that it takes some time after you start FTP on the phone, until the connection from the PC can be established successfully. In some cases, I had to wait three minutes or so. This problem arose when I switched to a Miui phone. I have seen it on my Hermes and now on my Kenzo, too...

Thanks. Question: Can I simply use the existing TWRP 3.0.0 to flash ZCX TWRP and thus replace TWRP 3.0.0? Kenzo.

Zcx term? I don't get it. What are you talking about?

Ok, thanks. But now I can't flash that superSu zip, because TWRP does not let me see or in any way access the internal storage. There must be a fundamental difference between android 5 and 6 here.

How to root Kenzo? I have just installed the current DEV (6.10.13) on my new Kenzo. On my previous (RN2) device, the ROOT option was usually offered during the install process. This did not happen on my new Kenzo. Has the ROOT install option changed somehow? Is there something special I...

If they're no longer at the top, something else is at the top now. This could mean that this "something else" is now using more battery than it used to, while the previous top battery consumers have not changed.

"it's better" - sure. Of course it's always safer to do "the official" thing. But that was not my question. My question was, will it work?

How can I install current beta 6.10.13 on Kenzo? I have Chinese Beta 6.9.29 with Stock Recovery. Bootloader is locked. To move to a current xiaomi.eu Beta, I must unlock, then install TWRP. Question: Must I wait for the official unlock? Or would this work with the unofficial unlock hack?

I would agree in most cases. But as I explained before, for someone who wants to install a ROM only once and stick with it, there might be better choices, no?
