Which firmware version do you have? Have you tried another USB memory?

I flashed same xiaomi.eu V12.5.11.0.RJBCNXM over last EEA stock firmware (V12.5.7.0.RJBEUXM) and the issue is still reproducible. I'm not sure if this is related with xiaomi.eu or is an issue on stock firmware. This issue doesn't affect the phone functionality.

As a conclusion: If the firmware file name is in format: xiaomi.eu_multi_...-12-fastboot.zip even that you are notified by the updater, you need to do the update using a PC and the phone booted into fastboot, you cannot use TWRP for the update process. Also, the -12- before the "fastboot" means...

When you flashed xiaomi.eu custom RoM, did you formated the /data partition? Because if not, the phone remain in boot-loop almost all the time. The fix is to enter into TWRP, format data and then reinstall the custom rom, as it is specified on the first post where the firmware it is listed.
