[Mi 9][MIUI 12] Extreme battery drain on Standby

Wakelock Detector used to be working to detect "never sleep" case like this, but it's been outdated for so long and not working in current Android version. Turning off all of those features might actually trigger this problem actually, not all apps adhere to the rule. Some may keep trying to...

    Mi 9 - Battery

Show the battery usage tab, discharging speed tells nothing without how long you use each app. Say, Google Photos look like the most battery eater for consuming 22.9%/h, but do you even use it for 1 hour? Otherwise, there's really no way to tell if it's normal some apps are connected to each...

Looks like an upgrade to me :)

    Mi 9 - Battery

Not in my phone, I don't use super wallpaper, though. I'd rather have a working fingerprint sensor than battery draining wallpaper. No idea if both are mutually exclusive or what. Or something else inside your screen's fingerprint area that keeps it scanning all the time.

    Mi 9 - Battery

I believe so, AFAIK it doesn't separate application and hardware like in the past anymore. Sure, rounding errors do happen. An accumulative result of 0.1% difference may end up in, I don't know, 1%? 2%? 5%? As long as it's not far from 90-ish consider it accurate. That's pretty bad, I don't...

    Mi 9 - Battery

It's everything that doesn't fit into the list, practically limiting the list entries from being too long. Here's my battery usage (EU 12.0.2): basically it's a matter how often I use the phone (or how fast it reaches the maximum SoT). On July 17, it lasts for 32+ hours with 5+ hours SoT, but...

[Mi 9][MIUI 12] Extreme battery drain on Standby

On a second reboot after calibration (full discharge then full charge without break with phone turned off, unplug then turn on) it's the same as MIUI 11. I can still get 4-5 hours SoT over 20-24 hours per charge.

*no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* Problem: to much zoom in Full-Screen Mode (16:9)

The native sensor aspect ratio is 4:3, to get 16:9 it has to crop from that 4:3. The default camera app (or any other camera app) also does the same. It's a hardware thing, no software trickery can "fix" it (as it's not broken anyway).

    Mi 9 Charging slow

Upgrading ROM won't solve hardware problems. Try getting a better cable first, you already show that using another cable it improves a bit, though I don't know what cable Nintendo Switch is using, ensure you have something similar with the original cable. Some cables are marketed with QC 3.0...

ota update Mi stable 11.0.7.0 on Mi9

I have no problem updating through OTA but I don't know what people are doing and if they know what they're doing with their phone. There's no bootloop but first boot after update takes much longer than previous update (I watch youtube while waiting, so it's not really boring, probably 10...

MIUI 11 MIUI 11.0 STABLE RELEASE

Any full changelog for 11.0.7.0 Mi 9? I can find some (camera vlog mode, camera a bit revamped pro mode, dark mode in browser, fix screen recorder, etc.), but might also miss some, so it's better if the changelog comes from the developer itself, in a full form, not generalized.

Is there any ROM for Mi 9 with EIS in 1080p@60fps video recording?

Custom ROMs don't have better camera libs as of now, so none is better than the original ROM. Stabilizing 60fps isn't as simple as reusing the code to stabilize 30fps, it's a different beast that requires deep coding skills that Xiaomi engineers might not have yet.

Is the Mi9 really that bad?

It's called preference. No matter how many people say it's bad, look at how big the community that actually uses it daily. Yes and no. It does struggle in bad lighting conditions, but doesn't mean it can't make good photos. In fact, most of the time it captures beautiful photos night and day...

Panarama not working since Mi 11

If P360 can't even take panorama, then it might be something deeper in the system, whatever it is, as it's a 3rd party app that should've nothing to do with MIUI camera app, but it will use the same base library for taking the photostreams.

Panarama not working since Mi 11

Works fine for me, unless it's the stitching quality that you questioned (indeed, it's bad, that's why I purchase P360 app): * resized with ImageMagick to 5MB due to original size being over 30MB!

    [Mi9] Root Android 10 ?

Try a clean install. Magisk 20.1 works fine on my MIUI 11 stable.

Last stable rom is from quite a while ago

That's global INDIA schedule, where Mi 9 isn't available officially. The China stable release is early November (Phase 2) for Mi 9.

Last stable rom is from quite a while ago

Yes, that's the last one available from MIUI EU as their tool no longer supports 10.2 and Mi 9 will jump straight to MIUI 11 based on Android Q instead of having another 10.X update. The global stable is still being updated, though. The same 10.2 but with more features and bug fixes (new camera...
