    Could be if it's damaged.

CPU overheating instantly when battery connected?

That's part of the cooling system, certainly it will get hot. Underneath is a bigger copper plate covering the SoC. It's normal to get hot, but it's not normal not to turn on. Any kind of damage can have impact. You never know what's broken / disconnected from the fall as not all components are...

MIUI 12.0 MIUI 12 STABLE RELEASE

Nice info. Waiting for others to comment, 12.5.6.0 comes way faster than any previous versions, so I do expect a more buggy version. Sticking with 12.5.5.0 for now.

Screen wakes up randomly after update to MIUI 12.5 stable

Then it could be something else. My phone doesn't wake up randomly, at least not anymore. Also check this section of the battery setting: If your awake is a straight line, it could be something using your resources in the background and the same reason your screen keeps awaking randomly. This...

Screen wakes up randomly after update to MIUI 12.5 stable

Use at least for a week running through several charge cycles. It takes some time for the ROM to stabilize itself.

MIUI 12.0 MIUI 12 STABLE RELEASE

Mi 9 dirty flash (only clean cache and dalvik cache) from 12.0.6 to 12.5.3 Plus: - fingerprint authentication seems to be faster - app opening and switching also faster Minus: - video playback is choppy (both local and streaming, so it might be down to media player component), can't find a fix...

    Bringing Back FM Radio

No. FM radio requires SoC support, a receiver module and antenna. Mi 9 only has the first one, so it cannot be used to listen to FM radio. The technology is considered ancient, and thus not inline with the spirit of Mi series to embrace the future.

    Battery usage

Use it for a few charge cycles to let the battery stabilize first, at least 3 days or so. Depending on the number of installed apps, there could still be a background recompilation and cache rebuilding behind the scene.

[Mi 9 Lite] Typing issues with newly replaced screen

I cannot find any data for Mi 9 Lite, but my Mi 9 has 180-240Hz from self testing using this method. 100Hz sounds a bit low to me, even if Mi 9 Lite is not quite the same device as Mi 9.

    Battery Drain

Need a LOT more information to analyze. I can get the same 4.5+ hours SoT on EU. Show at least the built-in battery stats, but AccuBattery can give better information. At least show who eats the battery and what's your battery health.

[Mi 9 Lite] Typing issues with newly replaced screen

I would still classify that as a hardware issue. If you don't change ROM but you change screen instead then it happens, pretty easy guess, huh? The touch sampling rate might not be right or needs calibration. I have no idea how to fix, though.

Mi 9 - 12.0.4.0 - Steps counter in assistant screen

12.0.4.0 was reuploaded just around 2 hours ago, maybe there's something missing in the previous 12.0.4.0. Give it a try.

Have you ever changed your device's battery?

You're lucky. I bought my Mi 9 just a month before the Pro one was announced. Bad timing, but I don't regret it.

Have you ever changed your device's battery?

The reasoning sounds like an agreement with my statement.

Have you ever changed your device's battery?

QUICK CHARGE KILLs YOUR BATTERY FASTER There, fixed. Your battery will die anyway, just a matter of when. Having it quickly charged still has a benefit.
