    Invalid Mi Mover not working

I think that's slightly different from the message I was getting, mine was because the partition is read only, that's the problem this workaround solves. I may be that HyperOS has something extra, my device is MIUI 14. Is there anything in the Settings about allowing apps from unofficial...

    Invalid Mi Mover not working

I tried to attach my zip file, but it's too large.

This is a screenshot of my resulting structure in priv-app, I used X-plore to install:

    Invalid Mi Mover not working

I rebuilt the Mover zip file, using the com.miui.huanji apk instead. This is what I then installed. I built it using the structure in my previous email, I just extracted the Mover fix zip, then replaced the apk with the one I wanted to install. It worked first time for me.

Do you have the Mover module installed in Magisk? I can't tell you any more than I already wrote, I documented what I did and it worked for me. I'm no longer using that phone, but I have the Mover module installed and activated on it.

Mi Unlock "The place where the account is registered does not match the place where the phone is sold" I'm getting error

This is exactly why I'm waiting on the upgrade that's available for my Mi 12 Pro. It's on MIUI 13 and will stay that way until I get it unlocked.

Mi Unlock "The place where the account is registered does not match the place where the phone is sold" I'm getting error

Yeah, I'm in a similar position. I had a Mi 11 Pro that was a Chinese-only device, but T-Mobile are steadily extending their network to LTE bands 66 & 71. The reception on the phone had never been great, but until recently it was adequate, but now I get dead-spots all over the place after a...

Mi Unlock "The place where the account is registered does not match the place where the phone is sold" I'm getting error

You can verify your device here. You just have to make sure before you buy that you're buying a global device that was originally for the global market, not a global device sold in the Chinese market, although if you read the recent threads it looks as if it's very difficult to unlock any Hyper...

Yeah, they've turned a process that was stressful anyway into a complete nightmare.

If your phone is still returnable, return it and buy a Global version that wasn't originally sold into the Chinese market. You can verify that you're buying a global device here if the seller will give you the IMEI.

    Unlock_hyperOS_ Global devices

I don't think this is strictly accurate. Devices with the global model number that were originally sold in the Chinese market cannot be unlocked. The only way to be sure is to ask the seller for the IMEI and check it on the Xiaomi device validator.

    Invalid Mi Mover not working

Update: I got it working! I downloaded the 4.5.0.1 apk from apkmirror and fitted it into the zip file as outlined above. After installing in Magisk, the new apk shows in the priv-app structure but is not installed. I installed it from my root explorer app, launched it, and it's currently...

    Invalid Mi Mover not working

Ok, after much f*cking around, I was able to get the newer version installed. However, it currently won't run. I used the version from my new phone (4.3), the old version is 4.1. It installs, the app info looks good and shows 4.3, but it won't execute. I'm going to try a different version of...

    Invalid Mi Mover not working

So, after much f*cking around, I was able to install the apk Yeah, doesn't work. I'm grateful for the heads-up though, I think I can probably get it to work this way.

Any idea how to use that for Mi Mover?

    Invalid Mi Mover not working

I've spent a couple of days trying to solve this, but I'm stumped. Even in TWRP terminal, it doesn't appear possible to mount /product as RW, or if there is it's beyond my Linux skills. When booted, the folder is mounted as an overlay, which complicates matters. I'm sure the devs have their...

Mi Unlock "The place where the account is registered does not match the place where the phone is sold" I'm getting error

I just picked up a genuine global Mi 12, old/new stock, never been used. It's still running MIUI 13, and Mi Unlock worked like it's supposed to. I was able to log in to my Mi account in developer settings and the Mi Unlock app did it's thing and told me to wait 168 hours, which is what I was...

Mi Unlock "The place where the account is registered does not match the place where the phone is sold" I'm getting error

Thanks. I came back here to post about this, there's a video of how to do it (in Chinese, but you can follow it anyway) on XDA. Unfortunately, it only works on genuine Global devices, not devices sold in the Chinese market and then sold here as Global. This turns out to be what I bought. For...

How to install Magisk on Mi 11 Ultra WITH TWRP (MIUI 14)

Bump for the same problem. Since /boot & /recovery are apparently now in the same partition, I can't flash an older (not useless) version of Magisk. If I flash Magisk, it overwrites the partition and TWRP is gone, and vice versa.
