Seems to be default behavior on my mi 8 when watching videos on camera app, if I touch the screen while playing the unmute button appears and sounds start playing when clicking the button. Not sure if it's any different on your note 10. Slds,

I would say by default apps should have autostart to ensure their ideal behavior so I guess is normal for newly install apps to be granted that permission. Google news for sure by default would want to send you notifications so it needs to be up and running all the time. I never restore backups...

On full screen gestures I have manage to get PiP working by pulling down control center and going into settings or going into any notification and clicking on it and PiP gets going, then going back to home and the little window is there. I can confirm this only on youtube vanced. Slds,
