That's what I thought. So (other than bands), it doesnt matter which variant of the phone I start with.

Did you end up getting the 13 Ultra? How does it work on Tmobile. I was looking into this as well and the china version might work better as it has LTE band 12 (but not 2 or 66). If I recall, for Tmobile 12 and 71 and pretty important so at least having 12 should help. For 5G n71 is pretty...
