This is not entirely accurate information: I for example was coming from version 12.5.20 with of course Android 11 and modified TWRP for my Mi 11 Ultra dating back to August 2021: I waited for the first stable version rom always in recovery mode, and when 13.0.13 came out I "simply" followed...

I Just used the latest MIUI 13 Stable Version (13.0.13) updated with the new version of TWRP for A12... perfect! You can update without worries!

@gogocar62 By the way -- while I'm at it, I'll ask you directly: For future updates of MIUI 13 stable (or 13.5/14)... if I want to simply do an update without formatting everything... can I go through the update via update app? Or do I necessarily have to start TWRP manually?
