I would like to know what is changed in .eu stable roms vs official global roms regarding 3g calls and / or signal strength. I recently switched my mi mix 2s from 10.0.2 global stable ro 10.0.4 eu stable and i get a semnificant drop in call quality. I live in a area with mid to low signal...

I'd like to know that too. I want also separate sms and notifications ring tones.

Just use the global stable. It should be ok. If you have fastboot there's no worries. You can easily fix it from there.

While reading the forum with a little more patience I discovered a statement made by a mod that all notification issues from Pie are related to xiaomi ... so yeah, I got my own answer there :D This entire thread can be deleted since the problem does not lie in .eu roms. I'll go to en.miui forums...

The instructions are not good. They are missing one key step! Which you did and written over the instructions found at the start of the thread but most users don't !!! When you come from official global stable you need to format data via twrp. Enter the wipe menu and click format data. Than type...

when everything else fails just flash fastboot rom with mi flash and wipe all. that should bring it back to life :) than start again with .eu rom. link to fastboot flash here: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html

OTA Updates don't always work. Sometimes you'll be notified, other times won't. In a normal way you should get OTA, but I would'n necessarlly count on it. Just check the forums from time to time.

Try an older twrp and / or an older stable release. it should work !!! also the rom takes pretty much time flashing. Have you let it do it's thing ?

I'm not sure this is a TWRP problem. In the past when the TWRP version wasn't the proper one (on my old MI5) I used to get a error message while installing. One way I was fixing it was trying with various version until it worked. Also try an older rom first or try flashing a global official one...

Should try to install a version of xposed released for Android 6 ( see what sdk you have and than choose the right one) than ( there is a soarwarez realease made for miui). Make a full nandroid backup in case something goes wrong and than try.

nice, but for me, since i let the mobile data on always, I get more battery life (about 10% more) than when I was only on wifi ... if that makes any sense to anybody, 'casuse to me it doesn't :D

Is there a way to backup the widgets, folders and shortcuts for the MIUI launcher? I tried my backup pro but it says: provider not supported an it won't backup anything.... Every time I flash an update I have to remake all the widgets, folders and shortcuts because i'm using xposed and xmiu...

Mi flash is only from pc, twrp method is pc+phone...for both you need adb drivers installed on pc.

Lock the bootloader, than try encripting... I am not sure that you can encrypt with bootloader unlocked....
