what if i try to update system app via adb?

If updating system apps was safe, we wouldn't have restricted it.

Resolved Device does not start (VEUXG)

"USB debugging" has to be enabled in Developer options and the PC authorized to connect before you can make a log. We don't have the device so we have no idea what's going on.

"device does not start" means nothing. Make a log.

HyperOS 2.0 HyperOS 2.0 STABLE RELEASE

We just fixed the issue in Mi Video. We have no reason to include 2 apps that do the exact same thing (but Mi Video has more online features and can browse local files). Media Viewer is another 45MB. If someone prefers Media Viewer, they can install it themselves, and even disable Mi Video if...

HyperOS 2.0 HyperOS 2.0 STABLE RELEASE

Since it's a Mi Video issue, the workaround is as simple as installing Xiaomi's Media Viewer. The next time you play a video from Gallery, it will be handled by Media Viewer instead of Mi Video...

    Xiaomi.eu Extension

Some of our custom features are in there, like "Side panel shortcuts" editor, "Hide app icons" editor, etc. I don't understand the obsession with disabling system apps.

HyperOS 2.0 HyperOS 2.0 STABLE RELEASE

Just came to report that after some hours of experimentation with our tester crew, we found where the issue was. It's a bug that was neglected by Xiaomi in the Mi Video app, slow-mo videos from specific devices aren't identified correctly. Patched for next release.

DEVs: will there be a beta ROM from xiaomi.eu?

While we do use them to test stuff before it arrives to Stable ROMs, there currently no good reason to release them. We update most of the system apps on Stable ROMs even from those Betas, and there's not much difference between them otherwise.

HyperOS 2.0 HyperOS 2.0 STABLE RELEASE

It's really not that important. It's just a stylistic preference, not something you can't live with. I really don't understand that point of view. Should they keep every feature from the birth of MIUI, or just what you deem as important? At first the expansion swipe gesture was non-functional...

HyperOS 2.0 HyperOS 2.0 STABLE RELEASE

Even if it's a million of users, it wouldn't change the fact that I don't have the device. We don't have any beta testing programs. We have our own crew of testers, and even if our Xiaomi 14 tester could reproduce this, that still wouldn't change the fact that I don't have the device (testers...

Like I said, I recorded a 240 FPS (not sure why you call it "240p") slow mo video using the Camera app, I said nothing about post-production. The video is playable via the included Mi Video. P.S. Stop writing in bold text.
