Apparently some of these are hard-coded, so it will have to be Xiaomi (not the Devs) who will have to sort this out.

This is not really the right thread for the stable release. But, as with this weekly, the .zip file is a hybrid, which means that you can install it both through TWRP (recovery), or with Fastboot (which does not necessarily need TWRP (recovery) installation).

I just got the double tap to work for Google assistant for the 13 Pro. That was double tapping just below the camera. But I cannot say for the 12 Pro.

If it is a new bug, then it maybe needs reporting. As a temporary fix, you could use a volume-control app, or just be aware to temporarily switch Silent mode back on.
