Magisk it's like a multi tool app for the device (it works on the Mi5), it can install "modules" like little patches for the device (camera2api) or install some apps easier (viper4android, dolby, etc), it's like a "super su" app but on steroids (it's the best explanation that i can give) :p

So, looks like no one else have this issue, well i don't know if this counts as a "fix" but i made a "clean rom flash" and the button started to work again, i made the clean flash with the 8.0 Oreo rom for the mi5. I hope this can work on any device that have this or a similar issue.
