Thanks for the info - I was going to buy one of those cables today. You just saved me some money! :)
Is MHL hardware based or software based? Is it possible that is could be implemented in a later version of the ROM?
Is it possible to use the HongMi as a media centre by connecting a mini USB to HDMI cable connector to it?
I want to stream from my PC to the phone and watch on my TV but I have no idea if it is possible or not.
Thanks :)
I used http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/xiaomi-hongmi-td-wcdma-update-guide.22095 to re-install stock after having problems a while ago with the multi.
It worked absolutely perfectly but I did lose Root.
Rooting isn't that difficult - it is explained very clearly in the above link and only...
You can't be sure until you get it unless you are buying from a trusted source.
Once you have it you can test the code that comes on the back of the box on the official xiaomi w/site. Also you should d/l an app to show the specs of the phone and compare them to the info in many threads on...
Your info and the info shown on my phone are not the same.
Hardware, Screen resolution and the density don't look right.
Mine reads:
Hardware: mt6589
Screen Resolution: 720 x 1280
Screen Density: 320 dpi
Also on the Sensors page you are missing:
Gyroscope, Orientation, Magnetic field...
Yes I get the same message using the update option.
Is it safe? I don't know. I guess as long as you are all backed up then the answer is yes. If it goes wrong you won't lose anything if you are backed up.
I have not updated to that version yet because I have no problems with the phone on V.1...
I have a question about this ROM: where does the source come from and is it a developer or stable release?

Thanks.
I got it working on the stock ROM. I did it by installing the multi-ROM then making backups of all of the Google stuff with Titanium. I then installed the latest stock and used Titanium to restore all of the google stuff.
Understood.
I was referring to the table in the first post:
That one in the table only links to the WCDMA.
I was wondering if there could be two entries, one for each version please?
Thank you :)
I have searched for an answer to this and have found one other user with a similar problem but no answer was offered.
I have a HongMi TD on which I have tried the most recent ROM and the previous release. The issue I have is that when the phone is sleeping (screen off either due to inactivity...
