But what does the device manager say it is? It should list it as something at least I think. Cant you get to EDL pushing both volume buttons and get it detected as QDloader? Phone will still seem as if it is turned off.

I can confirm it shouldnt be applied (I dont even know if it works) with the recent xiaomi bootloader locking policy. That method worked last year before xiaomi decided to lock their bootloaders completely

Flashed latest fastboot rom using MiFlashBeta and phone in EmergencyDownloadMode, not fastboot since bootloader is locked by default.

You can find it in the xiaomi website in the fastboot rom section as Redmi 4 Prime China Development Stable fastboot rom

I have had no problems regarding that. Only bad thing about this phone is the microphone recording quality when it comes to low frequencies.

You know that can get your device bricked right? Because you didnt patch the boot.img file, you just went ahead and used the unlock-go command on the factory boot img and that will mostly get your device bricked. That method is only to be used on patched images, which for the redmi4 pro still...

Hes saying the Xiaomi.eu roms, not the official xiaomi roms. Yes, the weeklies are stable as far as I can tell, ive been running the 6.12.1 weekly xiaomi.eu rom and havent found a bug yet. However I will switch to the monthly rom when it comes out.

Put your phone in fastboot mode, open cmd on a folder with fastboot and type (without quotes) ''fastboot oem device-info'' If it says unlocked: true, your bootloader is unlocked successfully and you can go ahead and flash twrp and whatever you want
